Born Juveyel Hunnit Shells in Rochester New York, April 19th 1987. in 2002 Juveyel dropped his 1st local mixtape "Talk Of The Town" with appearances by his fellow group members at the time Savage and Millenium Thug. Together Juveyel, Savage and Millenium Thug where a group by the name "Mo' Problemz". After Millenium Thug was locked up in 2003 things slowly fell apart for the group, Juveyel and the groups engineer parted ways. Juveyel continued on to drop his second mixtape "The Second Time Around" witch really began to grab the ears of the local community. Creating his own buzz by posting up his own posters and submitting his mixtapes to local urban clothing stores all over Rochester, Juveyel was determined to be heard. About 6 months later he went on to start his "Purple Ctiy" series of mixtapes. In 2004 He dropped "Purple City", with features from other local artist such as, UwieV, Savage, Shaft-A-Mill, etc. aside from local artist he had his 1st major appearances from Diplomat artists JR Writer, Bezel and Un Casa. This mixtape really set the name JUVEYEL in every bodies memory, now he was really the talk of the town. Still keeping the lyrics street, keeping his hood "Thurston rd" on his back lyrically along with fresh out of jail at the time "UwieV". The summer of 2005 Juveyel went on to drop "Purple City Vol. II (One 4 Da Hood)" witch included hits such as "Tell Me Why You Don't Like Me" featuring UwieV and "Sir Swag-A-Lot" ft. Luca Brazi of Dipset.
