I have been interested in music and played a little guitar since i was 6 years old. My mother was the first to show me The wildwood flower on the guitar. In school I met a friend who also played the guitar. He and I traded songs I showed him (The Wildwood Flower and He showed me (The guitar boogie) Later in life we were to become Brother in laws by marrying sisters.
In 1955 we played with a band called (Smitty Smith and the Rythm tones),which was later changed to (Smitty Smith and the nightbeats) In that era We played at soc hops talent contests and radio stations). When I was 25 we played with a guy by the name of Gerald Hanson who Played western style of music. Now i am playing with a Band called the wild heard which play country, Bluegrass and Gospel Music. I do Write music now and I guess that Gospel music is probably my biggest list of songs due to my christian influence when i grew up. I have written about 70 songs
hopefully they will make a difference in someones life someday
