Miss Jones writes in a variety of genres; from country to jazz, to classical and New Age Electronica. She possesses the talents for multi-lingual lyricism, and has been known to often sing in Spanish, French, Italian, German, Russian and Cherokee. Raised in a family of multi-talented musicians, Lora has been reading sheet music and scores from the age of seven, writing her own lyrics and music from the age of six, playing instruments from the age of four, and singing melody AND harmony from the age of three. When asked what instruments she plays, she always responds: "It would be quicker to answer that by telling you what I DON'T play".
Recently, Miss Jones was the recipient of Paramount Group's Director's Award for her submitted track, entitled: "You Had Me". The track was recorded with professional studio musicians, and placed on 2009's "Catch a Rising Star" CD for radio play. It will soon make its airwave debut on 103.7 FM / "The Mountain", Seattle.

Apr 13, 2010
I am so very EXCITED, and HONORED, to have a personal one on one screening with Mr. Jaime Feldman of A&R Select, formerly head of the A&R Department with Capitol Records (2001-2008). There are no words to describe an opportunity of this nature, and I am getting SRSLY hyped, here. Can't wait!! Hoping all goes well>>>WISH ME LUCK!! Lora. @)~~~~~ + ~~v~~

Last time was 28 years ago in the bandroom at Garfield High, our shared alma mater. As some of you may know, Kenny G, Bruce Lee, and Quincy all went to Garfield...and, so did I...playing and performing during a different generation of "Bulldogs". My teacher, and long-time buddy and school-mate of Quincy, Mr. Clarence Acox, Sr., had permitted me to play an original composition for him, after everyone else had disbursed from the band room "hub-bub" of his 50th birthday celebration...so, I did...the song was "Dreams Now Reality". (I still remember every word, every note, every chord. About 900 moons have gone by, since then, and now, I hear Q will be attending the ASCAP "I Create Music" Expo, in Cali, this April.......AAAHHM A-GOIN', ya-ya. Se ya' there, Q!! (Think he'll remember??)
