Crito Dabeast (The T is silent) - Born Eric P. from Houston, Texas. With his father serving life without parole & his mother recently released from her third conviction in the Texas prison system (on unrelated charges,) It's no rocket science why Crito Dabeast has had his own run in with the law. A product of his environment, he spent his early years running the streets. At the age of 9 Crito Dabeast found himself in and out of shelters and boy's homes. He was reported a run away, escaping from an abusive father and a mother he hadn't met yet. By his early teen age years he found himself in The Texas Youth Commission for "breaking and entering" and an "auto theft charge." A felon before he had even reached adult hood. At the age of 22 he was facing 5 to 99 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System. Allegedly involved in an Aggravated Robbery with two co-defendants, an adrenaline heart pumping high speed chase. 22 Police cruisers and 2 helicopters, speeding through the rural and downtown streets of Houston, Texas. Reaching speeds over 100 miles an in a Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz. He mentions, "I was slamming on my brakes to make contact with the police cruisers bumper as they tried to fish tail me, they could never get me, that really pissed them off..." Crito Dabeast recalls "after chasing me for over an hour, I remember ever so clearly, the officer shouting over the load speaker "we now have permission to shoot!" While on a 100,000 bond, his charge was lowered from (Aggravated Robbery With A Deadly Weapon & Attempted Capital Murder On A Police Officer) to Aggravated Robbery with a Deadly Weapon & Aggravated Assault On A Police Officer. Crito Dabeast was given 14 years in Prison. Many years of Crito's life was spent in the system behind bars.... So life behind "BARS" music bars that is, is what he's giving to his fans! "I've paid my debt to society and now I'm out to get mine the right way..." Crito explains. "Rags to Riches" is scratching the surface of Crito Dabeast's lyrical flow. It cleverly displays his life's journey and how he views the struggle... Crito Dabeast brings Sacramento's very own "Mozzy" (The West Coast's modern day TuPac) on this track to add to the grimey gangster rap single... "Rags to Riches"
