I went to Phoenix Town for my summer holidays with my friends. The town is in Hunan province. The scenery and the architecture are very beautiful. But I don't like its commercialization.I hope it can keep the traditional culture.
Where is the better day?

This is a long long winter. It snows for half a month.I haven't seen the sun for a long time.I can't bear so cold weather. Why did the weather become worse and worse? The winter in the area where I lived was very normal before.So-called normal refers that the coldest days often last 1or 2 weeks. And the snow is not so heavy like this one.I think the abnormal weather caused by the bad environment.I remember I was asked a question by my foreign teacher when I was at school."What's the problem that China will face during the economic development ?"I talked about the population problem mainly. In fact, the important problem is the environmental pollution .If developing the economy is at the cost of damaging the environment,is it worthwhile? I hope the weather will be fine soon.I like warmth.I hate the frigid winter.Looking forward to the spring.
Come Undone
Jan 29, 2008
Come Undone Music and Lyrics by D. Johnston and D. Liang Your eyes are closed and I don't wanna wake you I won't whisper in your ear All the places that I wanna take you When you're finally here These days alone have made me stronger All these hours apart more brave... but The truth is I am my own weakness I am here for you to save I can't sleep without you I'm coming undone When I sleep without you I'm tossing and turning all night With my eyes open I lie thinking As the dawn outside draws nigh I know it's wrong but I can't help it Wishing time would pass me by So you'd be at my side Bridge It's the nightmares I'm afraid of Please help me know That no matter How far I am Your soul won't let mine go
The Winter Solstice
Dec 22, 2007
Today is the Winter Solstice, according to Chinese traditional custom,we should eat dumplings to prevent frostbiting ears.On Winter Solstice, the day is the shortest and the night is the longgest of the year. After today,it is getting colder and colder. I don't know the weather in Singapore is fine or not. There is on winter in Singapore, isn't there?I hope eveything is going well while you are in the strange country. I am so fine,so is my BF.Just sometimes remember the words of Miss Potter,"I did't want to be a silly woman marry a man just because he is acceptable or rich enough to take care of me.".....I believe my choice is right.
I want to off...

Today,I take part in an English speech contest.A speaker said to me,"Oh,how young you are!"I smile but say nothing. The other speakers are older than me.In fact,I don't want to do this at all.Because I'm quite busy with my work. But the leader think that's a good chance to me.Just a boring show, when I standed on the stage,I found I am very stupid.I wanted to back my seat quickly so that I had done a bad job. I have to go to work tomorrow afternoon.I feel so tired...

Hi Lan,
How are you? i can never see when you log on....i wonder if you do anymore....i really enjoyed your letter, thank you....i sent you another one too....sigh....long long ago i had hoped to attract other "mice" over here...lol....but "nothing want to say" sounds much like "beware of big cat" :)
....i could tell you this story about a 2nd grader and a chance kick of a soccer ball that changed a world but i suppose the point is moot ;)
"Moot" is a good word to learn it means open for argument or debatable
...at least we are friends, that is all that really matters :D
i hope everything works out well....and the new coming Spring is wonderful please stay in touch! :D

Hiya Lan!
i hope you are enjoying Spring festival....
the US post office issued these special stamps in January celebrating the Lunar Year of the Ox, they look really cool
....astrology is so interesting....do you follow it...or feng shui?
Anyway, i wanted to get the story i spoke of finished this Winter, since i couldn't last....in fact i think it was really already Spring when i wrote the first draft...
i could tell right away that this was something i would want to share with everyone, but it was thinking about your severe winter and what you wrote and whether or not you regretted even knowing me (since i like to try to be a real friend) that made me remember this story

Hi Lan,
Happy Chinese New Year!!!
are you enjoying Spring festival?
sorry if what i wrote before about the distribution of funds from the Chinese government economics is way off, i know so little about your culture and your world...do you get raises? If not, what alternative rewards motivates one to excel? So curious...
i hope all is well and you are having much fun with family and friends...
Happy Year of the OX! :D

HI Lan,
i was reading the other day that your government intends to redirect billions of dollars that normally would be used to buy foreign debt back into China to help deflect a slowing world economy....this could equate to new roads, transportation systems, better buildings, new computers in the classroom, etc...,etc...maybe even a raise? doubt that last though ;)
anyway, just thinking about you while i was reading it...do enjoy the improvements, lucky! :D

HI Lan,
How are you?
i see you haven't logged in a while, so i hope everything is well in your world...these next two weeks are big for most countries as we celebrate the most Christian holiday and then the New Year....i wonder, if to compensate, China doesn't celebrate something at this time of year too? Very Curious....
Merry Christmas! =)

Hi Lan,
How are you? You know i'm worried the other parts of my letter didn't go through, because they never showed up as being sent....you know you could always leave a comment...lol...hmmmm, do you know how? (it's easy you just click on "add a comment" at the end of the comments section on a page and then insert your message in the empty box that appears at the bottom) ;) anyway i'm going to send the other parts again, now that i think i know what to do (erase my cookies before each send) so hopefully you can read the rest of my letter, if you haven't already.
Hope your weekend is wonderful... :D

Well, another year...lots of laughs...lots of tears, i suppose this is what life is about, blending through the years, fermenting us as we age...perhaps it is best to take pleasure in everything. Happy...well...happy Christmas and Chinese equivalent, and New Year, yours and mine....perhaps we should all adapt the Mayan calender once it comes to a close, start fresh, then we will all do fine. ps Do you watch anime?
