Born and raised in the slums of Coney Island, Brooklyn BO$$ REGI$ is living a modern day rags to riches dreams come true. Born in the late 80’s to Caribbean immigrants, poverty and struggles soon became a way of life, but music was the escape. Regis recalls “Barely ever having enough food, money, or clothes, poppin’ in A-tracks of Stevie Wonder, Jimmy Hendrix, Africa Bombaataa and the Sugar Hill Gang fulfilled us with way more than our struggles deprived us of”. It was at the tender age of 8 years old when he first caught glimpse of his Idol the late Notorious B.I.G. that he knew becoming a musician is what he was destined to be. “Growing up without a father Big Poppa was my paternal influence, his music raised me, simply because it was music that we could all relate to, It was the voice of the streets.” So the journey to the top, amongst the pinnacle of hip-hop’s elite began. Regis admits “The only reason I made it to college is cause I played sports and everyone knew that da only three ways out of the hood were playin ball, having ill flows, and death…2 outta 3 ain’t bad. I ‘d never do class work just write rhymes during class, play ball after school, and perform to family and friends through the night.” Which lead him to the heartlands of America the mid-west in hopes of spreading music that affect people positively from the inside-out of the U.S. Reaching Austin, to Boston, Peru, to Berut is the goal of this unsigned talent. “I’m Driven and I WILL MAKE IT!
