Born and raised in the DC/MD area, MsLori has seen the good and bad of the streets. Experiencing early childhood trauma, MsLori discovered writing as an outlet for her thoughts and anger at the young age of 9. MsLori will proceed to win several awards in elementary school and first year of middle school, for her writing abilities. At the young age of 14, MsLori gave birth to identical twin girls and put her dreams of being an Femcee on the back burner!
Over the decades, MsLori watched how the hip-hop culture went from being a positive form of expression and unity in our community, to being a posion breaking down the systems of our children today.
As an artist and mother, MsLori vowed that she would do her best to bring the "wholesomeness" back to hip-hop, while still giving the people what they want...behind the MIC (Music Influencing Children)
