A real producer isnt sitting around tapping buttons and pads all day with aspirations of tapping your pockets. A real producer is living life out in the real, big bad world. Beefing with them clowns up the block. Beefing with them clowns cross town. Got his lady sweating him daily. Got his side pieces spitting game all day. Counting money, spending money, tracking money in the street. Getting tracked by goons he owe. Putting pressure on cats who owe him. Ducking stick up boys. Ducking police. Hustling, pimping, struggling, copping and blowing. Then at the end the day, tired, exhausted, ready to put a pistol to his temple, he lets all the pain, frustrations,
wins and losses, pour out his fingertips and explode thru his speakers. What you hear is a life full of ups and downs. A roller coaster ride of emotions, blood sweat and tears. You're nodding your head because you feel the pain. The anger. The victory. You're ready to grab your pen and pad and release your fury on the track. This is what a real producer does. Not just inspire you to drop a couple witty punchlines. But inspire the artist to annihilate the beat with subject, flow, story lines and a few slick punchlines in between. This is where anthems, hit records and club bangers are born. This is the level I'm on and its the level I expect anyone rocking my beats
to be on.
