Born on the 7th of August 1988, in a small city just north of the Bronx, NY called Mount Vernon, Michael Damion Hollis, lyrically known as The BoyKing, was cultured from birth in the art of Hip Hop and performing. His older brother and neighborhood artist like Heavy D influenced him on how to write and perform Hip Hop and even R&B. The BoyKing is unique with his ability to write many genres of music and also performs as good as any seasoned artist.
Hes worked with a vast selection of producers, known and unknown. They include D.J. Eddie F. of the untouchables, Ty Fyffe, Vinny idol, Solar Trakz, Flynstonez Prod, Str8 Musik Prod and many more. He has performed at clubs in Atlanta, GA like Mansion and Room service up to the underground seen in NY with clubs like Pyramid and The Laugh Factory. He’s independently released three mixtapes titled, “My Brother and I”, “The Goose made me do it”, and his latest available on Datpiff.com, “Master of the Melodies” hosted by D.J. Don Cannon.
The BoyKing is aiming to re-establish the influence of his home town in Hip Hop, with him in the for front of the movement, BoyKing’s perfect blend of underground lyrical creativity and his marketable swagger and melodies appeals to all ages. He’s not just a rapper. He definitely has what it takes to be a superstar in today’s music industry.
