Hi, my name is Ed. I've been playing the guitar and singing since the early seventies, mostly singer-songwriter stuff; Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Van Morrison, along those lines. Funny thing is that I still do a lot of that material at the gigs that I play now, I guess the true test of a good song is indeed, time. I will admit that the median age of my audience has advanced somewhat over the years as well, but I've still never met a twenty-year-old who didn't know “Brown Eyed Girl”. My main focus, over the last ten years or so, has been writing and recording my own songs in my home studio, I just wanted more to show for my musical existence than a few good cover recordings. I started writing and producing my originals and each and every one has been a vast learning experience. My writing style has meandered somewhat over the years but lately I've settled into a country/bluegrass thing, it must be from all the time that I spend up in Eastern Tennessee. I sequence in the drum parts and record in most of the instruments myself. My wife, Ellen, sings harmony and plays the cajon (box drum) with me and I bring in friends for the rest, it's really been a great journey.
