8th Gate
Welcome to the 8th Gate. We are a hip hop group based out of Columbia, South Carolina. The group consists of Vocab, WrongfulDef, Live Disciple, King Crysus, and Savage. We are very versatile and cannot be clasified as one genre of hip hop. This is not your average group from the South. We all have different styles and influences but we come together to make great music. Our beats are original, created by group member, Vocab. Just listen.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We have done very successful shows at various clubs in our local area. We love performing live and will be available for any events. Our most recent performance was opening for Missy Elliott's Album Release Party. Contact us for more info.
Your musical influences
Our musical influences are too many to name. We have learned from just about everyone in the music industry. Our favorite is the Wu Tang Clan.
What equipment do you use?
We use a Motif ES 6 and a Yamaha AW16G workstation for composing and recording our music.
