706 Union Avenue were formed in 1998 by Yan Townsend, (Bass) after hearing the cool tones of Stray Cats coming form the vicinity of Pat Winn’s (Vox Guitar) abode. Yan had played before with George Leckenby (Lead guitar) with the band "A horse Called Eric" and apart from the fact that he happened to be a superb picker, he owned a gretsch. The band stole drummer Trigg Wooton who had come to audition for another group. All is fair in rock n roll.Have you performed in front of an audience?706 Union Avenue are an old fashioned live band. They cut their teeth playing on mainly military establishments before branching out into the real world! Probably the biggest gig was at the "Chalgrove Music Fest".
The band received national airplay on the Johnny Walker show with their self penned tune "Memphis". They returned to the studio in 04 to record "Three day blues" which had airplay as far a field as Spain and the Falkland Islands.

Just stopped by to listen and the song "Three Day Blues" has a great beat. A really good song to dance to. Larry Balding
