ABOUT US
THE BEGINNING
5TH LMNT Productions was formed in 2002 by Brad Risch, Mike Greenland, Dennis Lee and Shawn Dwello. Brought together by music, these four were inspired by every genre. Hip-Hop, Rock, Country and whatever else you can hear through a CD player. Brought up in areas where music was a way to escape, they each learned their own style and techniques. This unique blend is what made the distinct 5TH LMNT sound.
By 2004, Mike and Dennis fell out of the group for personal reasons and Shawn and Brad were left wanting more. They worked diligently and recorded a couple albums and made a name for their selves in the local music scene. Through a series of events, THE 5TH met up with Yahyah, formerly of the Outsidaz and recorded two albums. They made their mark on the local music scene doing shows at clubs in and around central Florida and even opening up for KRS-1. At this point the guys met up with a local producer by the Name of Sage Lee. Sage had did some tracks on Eddie Whisper’s Album Titled “Self” and got a billboard top 10 hit out of the project.
Sage and Yah got together on a collaboration effort and after crankin out some of the hottest tracks you’ll ever hear, started bumping heads in the production process. Its 2005 and THE 5TH has showed no signs of slowing down. The new team now consisting of Sage Lee, Brad Risch and Shawn Dwello have been in the lab, churning out tracks that’ll singe your eardrums. Get ready for THAT NEXT LEVEL SHIT!
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes, we do perform live in and around florida, mainly central florida in the orlando area. Yes we love performing, we recently opened up for KRS-1 here in orlando for his new album.
Your musical influences
Shawn's are Marilyn Manson, Linkin Park, Eminem, Bush, Nirvana, Metallica, Tool, Stone Temple Pilots, AudioSlave, and Soundgarden. Sage's are R. Kelly, Kieth Sweat, Lil' Jon, and Jay-Z. Brad's are Oukast, The Nepunes, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, A Tribe Called Quest, and Souls of Mischief. Most of all we like whatever sounds hot.
What equipment do you use?
We use Reason 3.0 with about 100GB's of samples, a KORG TRITON, WE ALSO HAVE A COUPLE GUITARS, A BASS AND A DRUM SET.
