Song: Morrigan
And I forgot to tell you, that while his heart was in Ireland, he was born and lived all his life in the U.S. We were able to get to Ireland for the first time, not long before he died. Thanks to the kindness of the gent running the open mic at Dublin's International Bar, he realized his dream of playing music there. We performed his "To Ireland Someday to Go," and covered "Ghost Riders in the Sky." Dorothy.

Song: Morrigan
This song was written, recorded and sung my late friend, one-time significant other, music partner and band founder Davy Shannon. Davy struggled through life with numerous painful and debilitating ailments, always soothing himself with his guitar. This is one of the few times he ever sang and I think this is his best vocal work. Dorothy H. Sherman, former lead singer and flute player, 4 Ever Erin.

I cannot express to you all how moving your music is to me. I grew up in grade school listening and singing these songs. So sweet, so sincere, so heartfelt! Thank you so much for carrying on this grand tradition of heartwarming traditional Irish folk music!

Hi Dorothy, We look forward to playing many places on the east coast soon. Maybe we'll catch each other there someday soon. I met Scott about 15 years ago as a solo act and started doing comedy routines during his set breaks. After a few months we had met Art (who had just bought a mandolin), I went out and bought an accordion and we started playing together on stage. In our first incarnation of Darby O'Gill, we had another guitar player (Michael), who (after a few months) passed away from cancer. Over the years we have invited many others to play and record with us. We are now (and will be in the future) in whichever place we are, that fun and frovility bring us. Hope that the new year is treating you fantastically well. Kendo Darby O'Gill

Thanks for stopping by our site and checking out the tunes! Obviously, we have fun. Odd as it may seem for a traditional, olde timey, family string band; we like to experiment. I really like your Whiskey In The Jar. Thanks again, and check back as I post more mastered tunes from our May recording session.
