'4 Centipedes & One MC' is a sole effort by Corey D Cleven. The 'band' gives praise to the universal question 'What kind of music would 4 centipedes make?' I, Corey D Cleven, the MC, has allowed such creatures to wield weapons of sound and to bring a solution to this question. Corey D Cleven: mixing, vocals/dialogue, writing, recording Pink Centipede: alternative mixing, ambiance, laugh tracks, loops, samples Orange Centipede: claps, beats, pounds, punctures Yellow Centipede: organs & other piano-like keys Red Centipede: Distorted guitars, CB guitars, Bass, additional strings
Band/artist history
In 2004 I made what I call the 'Black Box', a two-hour recording session composed entirely of radio feedback, spoken word performances, and makeshift instruments. After that I focused hard on my writing, which I still progress at, but have, a few months ago, started creating a soundtrack to one of my written pieces, and then created the 4C&1MC.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
All 4C&1MC performances consist of pre-recorded sessions.
Your musical influences
Bands: Wire, Dome, Colin Newman, Graham Lewis, Bruce Gilbert, Gary Numan, David Bowie, Telefon Tel Aviv, Trent Reznor, Tv On The Radio, Moby, Nobou Uematsu, Prince Genres & other non-musical influences: Lo-fi (noise), art rock, industrial, new wave, trip hop, spoken word; circuit bending, William S Burroughs, Andy Warhol, radio, white noise

As notes already I am also a writer and painter, among other things.
