414 Real Bio:
Outkast isn’t the only Aquarius-Gemini duo in the rap game anymore. Deonte “Declipse” Anderson and Terone “Yung Ron” Buress, born February 4th 1985 and June 4th 1985 respectively, are now on the scene. Born in Milwaukee, WI these two cousins learned very early on that they had musical talent. These two prodigies began piecing together their first recorded tracks at the tender ages of 8 and 9 years old. From there the two were hooked. It wasn’t long after, at the ages of thirteen, that the two cousins hooked up to create their first rap group. They went by the name The Syndikates and partnered up with a third man, Dotty Atkinson. Produced initially by veteran Milwaukee producer Doc Holiday, the Syndicates created their first demos with their first official single being the song “Pitbull Tactics”.
As a group The Syndicates had a number of accomplishments. They were nominated for MP3.Com’s Best New Artist of the Year Award in 2002, and caught the attention of legendary Milwaukee producer Big Hank of Infinite Recordings/Unexplained Music. It was under his tutelage that Declipse and Yung Ron would hone their skills to becoming true artists in the game. They appeared on numerous Infinite/Unexplained albums and mix tapes, including Baby Drew’s Midwest Classic “Ghetto Hero”. The two excelled under Hank and eventually began ghostwriting for him and many others in the area.
A few years after their stint in Infinite/Unexplained music The Syndikates mutually decided to split up with Dotty going solo and Declipse and Yung Ron breaking off into a duo. The two changed their name to 414 Real in 2005 to fully represent their hometown of Milwaukee. Since then they have been in the studio appearing on dozens of collaborations, mix tapes, and co-producing two projects in the first half of 2009. The pre-album, “Memories in the Making” has received an excellent buzz having a number of club and internet radio station spins. 414 Real will also release their upcoming self titled debut album due out June 2009.
The two talented cousins also have a great deal of passion for film and have been producing and directing music videos and various other videos for their local community under Driven Media Group. It was with this knowledge and skill that Declipse and Yung Ron created their first music video for their hit song “Walk By Me” one of Milwaukee’s only music videos to appear on network television. This video was entered into 50 Cents Rap on the Rise contest and gained admiration and a following as far as Germany.
Having opened for top acts such as Kanye West and D12 one thing is for sure, this duo is ready to take the world by storm. When asked what their mission is, and what are they trying to convey in their music Declipse replied, “Real life. We’re trying to show what’s really out there, what’s really going on. Yeah, we have some party songs, but overall we are trying to show the world that there is more going on out there than that. We can be young and have fun, but let’s also take it upon ourselves to get us out of this rut”. This is no surprise seeing that the two say that they have been heavily influenced by artists such as the late Tupac Shakur. Amongst other influences are Bone Thugs ‘N Harmony, Twista, Common, Coo Coo Cal and a number of other great Midwest lyricists. “We look at ourselves as Milwaukee’s ambassadors; we want to show the rest of the world what Milwaukee and the Midwest have to offer.”Have you performed in front of an audience?Opening for Kanye was hot, but getting love is always a good thing. 4 Real!
