32-A

Formed in January 2006, the band chose their name for its ambiguity, so would not be tied to a stereotype. Their music would be loosely classed as modern metal and it has very obvious undertones of classic rock and dance. In the months following the formation, the band applied themselves hard to creating a gig worthy set that offered a series of infectious, diverse and entertaining songs that wouldn’t sound like anything you have heard before. They focused around the freedom of expression granted from the use of samples and keys whiling keeping in touch with their roots in early and modern rock music. They adopted a professional approach to the promotion and management of the band and they chose to practice in ‘Clearline Studios’, Cardiff, who already offer top class facilities to established such acts as the Lost Prophets, Funeral for a Friend and Bullet for My Valentine. All members of 32-A are well practiced and very capable in their role. Their varying influences have not clashed but attributed to a new and interest sound. All band members have a joint purpose of entertaining everyone possible including themselves with both recorded material, live shows and promotional material. From March 2006 onwards, they have been performing with a very positive crowd response. Their best recent live show was at the launch night of their debut EP, Haven for the Lost, which saw them play to a packed out venue in Cardiff city centre. The EP sold many copies on the night and following its distribution to South Wales indepentent music stores, was out of stock within 2 weeks of its release due to unexpected demand.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
32-A are based in South Wales but are pushing further a field quickly. They love to gig and they know full well that anything can occur. The band members have witnessed mid-gig police raids and streakers amongst other crazy goings on.
Your musical influences
We love a range of music from Metal to Rock to Dance. A major influence is Devin Townsend but every band member has a different list of artists they look up to and enjoy. The mash of of influences has formed a fun and interesting sound in our music.
