2 Fiddy 4 Viddy are a one-man band consisting of 10 members.
You may have heard of concept albums, well, this is a concept artist.
It revolves around the tale of a tortured rock-star who is kicked out of his band due to his split personality disorder, he then believes that he is actually a 10 man band, and records as if he is.Band/artist history
The term 'concept album' has been coined for L.P releases that loosely follow a plot or tell a story, with each song progressing the concept a little further.
2 Fiddy 4 Viddy can only be described as a 'concept band'.
They started off as an experimental branch of a band called "Eklipse", these demos were percieved as good enough to qualify for ISM release.
After the release of 2 more E.P's, the split personalities of the sole creator of the work started to manifest themselves in the music.
A joke track, entitled The Semaj song, was the first to feature one of those split personalities on vocals.
The Semaj song was a reworking of a reworking, originally the track was known as Bitter Poet, then it was labelled as "2 Fiddy 4 Viddy".. which was the inspiration for the bands name.
It was a hit, and soon the other personalities emerged to pick up imaginary instruments, all channeled through one sole creator imagining he was multiple members of a band.
The concept was developed, a jokey band, with a dark concept.
A tortured schizophrenic rock star, with Multiple Personality Disorder, driven into hiding, and creating comical tracks through which his joke band performed.
The concept reaches its climax in the seething closing track of the latest album, "Ever", in which the singer strips away all personalities and lays his soul bare on track, screaming and cutting up his voice in a distorted frenzy at the end.
It is unknown as to whether the band have split.

Consisting of demos from Eklipse, RTM & collaborations with other musicians, the first 2 Fiddy 4 Viddy L.P was all about contrast.
Genre-trendy titles, a dark musical backdrop, and voices speeded up to chipmunk levels (hence the title of the album).
A number of these demos have been re-recorded/re-worked by the band in later releases.

Within a month, the ISM community was eager to hear where this band was going to go, whether they would repeat the chipmunk effects of the previous album or indulge themselves in some sonic dabbling to gain credibility.
The Semaj E.P was released to mild surprise, there were no chipmunks on this release.
Heavy experimentation dominated this album, with guitar pro compositions also being used.
There was still an acceptance that the work was not entirely one man, with collaborative work with atease members Zyberphan and chrismca.
The last two tracks are the most notable, The Will song & The Semaj song.
The Will song spawned another group, Tiny Weiner Arouses Transvestite, who later claimed the track was theirs.
The Semaj song has already been discussed, one ISM pioneer was quoted as saying "this is too good to be ISM".
Another one of his collaborators considered quitting the ISM world forever upon hearing the track.
And thus 2 Fiddy 4 Viddy had found their direction.

The outtakes to Teh Semaj E.P were good enough that the 'band' decided to release them in a short E.P.The tracks were all under the 2 minute mark, remixes of T.W.A.T material and RTM demos, the exception being the 2 1/2 minute '28 boulders crashing down a broken hill' an overdriven guitar pro composition.
They had now got most of the sonic experimentation out of their system and were ready to embark on their first full album as 2 Fiddy 4 Viddy, with the aim of creating an albums-worth of Semaj Songs.

This was the defining album of 2 Fiddy 4 Viddys career.
Fast-paced drum machines, poppy aesthetic, omnichord rolling, a crazy front-man, a posing rap-star, and a keyboard pretending to be several different instruments.
There was contrast in the album, crazy songs were the flavour of the day, but one of the tracks 'Affliction' dealt with the torturous condition of the creator of it all seeping through.
Unlike other albums, there was a minimum amount of collaboration and re-use of other demos, with only three tracks not being entirely created by the band (excluding the intro).
Topics ranged from dairy products, sandwiches, poltergeists & submarines in their infamous Beatles cover.
Productions values were kept to a minimum to conform with ISM values.
The band over-stretched themselves though, and soon found that they didn't have enough material to make the 10-track album.
The band went back to their roots in dance fodder and gave it an ISM twist in 'The Epic', and lapsed back into their sonic experimentation with the Semaj E.P outtake 'Twenty'.
In the midst of this crisis, the MC for the band, Seth, was sacked by Semaj in a creative dispute over who got to sing what.
Imagine a schizophrenic MPD person trying to sack another part of himself.
All in all the album was a massive success, with many admirers outside of the ISM community, including the lead singer/songwriter of Devilhood, Pawel Osmolski.

The band were still haunted by their excessive use of other peoples material, and as a response to this they released a 1-track release in the vein of fellow ISM collective Nihilist Trio.
This musical vomit was released for a short period of time before being edited down.
The band don't actually consider this a release, more a purging of excess sound before their masterpiece.

Initially the band proposed releasing a double album of material, but ditched this in favour of a single album, and as a result this left them with a lot of decent excess material, and that is what this E.P is comprised from.
The opening track is almost drone-influenced post-rock, an outtake from their previous L.P, Affliction part 2 was an abandoned attempt at writing another Affliction, Bashing Your Skull on a broken door was the first RTM song, except with Semaj on vocals.
Don't give up was originally an Eklipse demo, which ended up on the ChipMINK L.P, it is back in its original form, with Semaj added to the choir of voices.
Paul Banks is also from the ChipMINK L.P, appearing in re-mastered form.
The Grand Old Duke of york is performed entirely live with just JR and Semaj.
Big Fast Car was a T.W.A.T recording dating back to around the time of Eklipse, with the lyrics coming from long before that.
White Christmas is a piano rendition of the seasonal classic, if you listen carefully you can hear dogs howling in the background at one point, the vocal is painfully poor!

The proper L.P follow-up to 'It Is Time' spent a long time in the making, being released on Christmas day.
The band are at their finest on this record, Semaj has speeded up his delivery, Seth has returned to the band, as has the founder, James.
The vocal duties don't lie solely on Semaj & Seths shoulders anymore, with Number#10's fetching falsetto from the Mystical Magical Brass Band being used to its full potential, and the basso rumble of JR also making an appearance.
The grunge vocals of Snozzle & angelic tones of James are not to be forgotten either.
The musical backing is more accomplished on this release than any other prior to it, the songs are more developed and thought out, less rushed and their length increased.
Nowhere is this seen better than on the opening salvo of tracks, including a re-mastered version of The Semaj Song.
In keeping with the ISM tradition, most of the vocals are one-take and off tune.
Collaborations with members of Tiny Weiner Arouses Transvesite, Deep Vein Thrombosis, and long-time fan Pawel Osmolksi are well recieved.
Nowhere are these collaborations better recieved than on the comical rendition of the original bandaid song "do they know it's christmas time?"
Don't give up makes its third appearance on a 2 Fiddy 4 Viddy release, and Ever is the perfect closer.
The Old Crooner is the newest member of the band, with a big incomprehensible bass voice that literally rumbles from the earth.
Since the writing of this biography the band have gone on to split the followup album to Form Clouds In The Sky into two E.Ps, the N.C.C 1701-D E.P and The Leaked E.P.
They then released The Very Best Of 2 Fiddy 4 ViddyHave you performed in front of an audience?The funny thing about being a 1-man-band trying to be 10 members is that you don't get many live gigs.
