2 Bit Jive

Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The "2 BIT JIVE" juggernaut was formed when guitarist/vocalist/MC Pauly "Blues" Di Dio met bassist/songwriter/guitarist Brian "Bassman" Kovacs in a local pizzeria. Soon, the two would be playing at weekly jams with the likes of blues legends Little Sammy Davis and Midnight Slim (Delmark label) who inspired the young musicians to "get rollin'" in their musical endeavors. Last years addition, and completion of the 2 Bit jive line up was drummer Tim Conboy. Tim has finished the shaping of the 2 Bit Jive sound with his hard-hitting drums. Now intertwining there musical various backgrounds 2 Bit Jive has a sound that is uniquely there own, a trait that is rare in today's music scene. The intense, emotional guitar playing and stylings of front man Paul Di Dio along with the deep, melodic grooves of bassist Brian Kovacs and the thunder of Tim Conboy's drums, allows for a truly magical musical experience. Their first original "Fadin'" (ã 2004 Di Dio) has been regarded by Brad Scribner (drummer for the Little Sammy Davis Band) as a "hit waiting to happen." Their second original work "Rain" (a 2004 Di Dio / Kovacs) has been said to sound like a rebirth of the Allman Brothers, a perfect hybrid of classic and modern rock. Currently, 2 Bit Jive is working on original material and playing on the Hudson Valley, New York bar scene. The band's primary goals are to be signed by a major label and eventually take over the world. Feel free to email us at: twobtjv@hotmail.com
