Bruce Andrews:Harmonica and Vocals
George Dudley:GuitarsBand/artist history
Together we've both been playing and performing for a combined 60 plus years.Yep,we're dinosaurs-but we can still groove;and groove we must. In that space of time we have been attracted to and influenced by almost every genre you can name;from Muddy Waters to John Mayer. I suppose it is accurate to say we have come back to ground zero-which for us is "the blues" and blues influenced grooves.
1993
George and I met by chance in a coffee shop that I owned from 1993-1999.I guess you would say it was fate.To make a long story short;we started jamming and writing music at the shop.Folks would come by to hear us there,so it became a venue.I ran out of money and the coffee shop sadly closed-but George and I are still in business. We have been playing and writing together ever since. It's very cool to have this music platform that you can enjoy with a great buddy. When you see us perform,if it looks like we are having a good time-we are! We'd be doing this if nobody was watching.
2002
In 2002 we won the Magic City Blues contest WITH OUR BAND THE LUCKY STIFFS and went to Memphis to play in the IBC on Beale.2blu and the Lucky Stiffs have performed in numerous area clubs and Blues Festivals since 2002.
2008
2blu:FINALIST IN Memphis(IBC) in 2008.We went to Beale Street, played Pat O' Brien's twice and managed to earn a slot in the 2008 FINALS of the I.B.C. this year as one of the TOP 6 solo-duo acts out of 60 from around the world!Read more about it in the press releases at www.ugot2move.com
We are available for corporate events, festivals, clubs, museums and schools(educational/historical shows),gallery events, etc.Have you performed in front of an audience?Bruce and I will play any time we're available, pretty much anywhere. Being a duo opens a lot of doors to many types of gigs. A couple guitars and a small pa and we're there. Having played together for so long, we are constantly having "magic moments" - the chemistry we share musically never gets old, and it shows quite often. It's a great partnership.
