Band/artist history
Everyone has fifteen minutes of fame, according to Andy Warhol. If this is true, this band must have been fifteen minutes late. After meeting in a suburban Illinois high school, guitarist/vocalist Brad Chagdes, bassist Steve Lyons and drummer Chris Smith joined to form 15 Minutes Late in January of 2000. Combining a wide mix of influences they created a self stylized emo-pop sound. Armed with a name, they sought an audience. Playing at parties and local clubs they built a loyal following and before long recorded their first self titled E.P. In order to expand musically, they added a second guitarist, Lance Tamras, early in 2002. Using Lance's unique talents and their already established sense of style the band recorded their second E.P., "Bitter Ends...New Beginnings." This album increased their fan base and earned them gigs playing with Story of the Year, Bowling for Soup, and Motion City Soundtrack. After performing with Lucky Boys Confusion, front man Kastubh Pandav offered his skills to manage 15 Minutes Late. With Stubhy's guidance, the group toured the midwest, performing for sold out audiences at such venues as the Metro and House of Blues in Chicago, the Ranch Bowl in Omaha, NB and The Galaxy in St. Louis, MO. Taking time off from touring in 2003, the band dedicated themselves to the development of two music videos and recorded their first full length album, "Is This How You Feel?" which was released in September 2003. Shortly after the album's release, Lance left the band. Desperately needing to fill the void, 15 Minutes Late scoured Chicago land in search of a guitarist. In December 2003, Brandon Green joined the group. Inspired by his new energy they again toured the midwest, this time introducing Brandon to their audience. 15 Minutes Late can currently be heard on Chicago radio stations Q101, 94.7 The Zone and Pure Rock 89.1 as well as at Pure Volume.com.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We play live shows across the midwest and will be opening it up to a nationwide audience in the near future. Touring is the best part of it all. Getting to interact with the fans and exposing new people to the music is the biggest thrill.
