Band/artist history
November, 2003
The band, unnamed, is created. Original members are Andy, Warren, Rory, and Jeff.
December, 2003
Jeff leaves the band, its not for him, switches to playing acoustic guitar.
January, 2004 - Present
Dwight enters the band as our singer, complications erupt and Dwight is booted from the band. We are covering songs to build our skills, hopefully will start writing this summer.
June 5th 2004
Our first "real official' gig in Andy's basement. Although we still don't have a singer we were able to get a couple friends to fill in for some songs. Had a great time and are looking forward to some upcoming small gigs.
Late June-Early July
We start writing and take the focus off covers. Two songs in the making and will be completed within july hopefully...anticipating two upcoming gigs on July 10th (Andy's cousin's engagement party) and July 25th (Warren's family get together).
Late July 2004
July 10th gig for Andy's cousin's engagement party was crappy, we played in a small closed room for like 20 something people...a little too up close and personal. July 25th gig at Warren's house started out good, we played two songs and were about to start the third when a rock struck Warren's grandpa in the head after ricochetting off his house and his dad's arm, soon after a old man drove up telling us that our music was too loud so our concert was over pretty much...so that sucked.
Late August 2004
We talked to a few singers through email and one singer Dwayne talked to us for months, so finally we had some free time and jammed with him. The first two songs he sang we thought he sucked pretty harsh, but he sang a few more and we were impressed, he was singing out of Andy's karaoke machine so the sound quality wasn't the greatest. So we set up another jam with him, this time he brought his own little amp, and we finally got to hear the real dwayne...we all agreed that he was not what we were looking for so we let him go.
September 26th, 2004
Ding Dong is no more... 13 minuites is created and taken as our official, and hopefully permanent, name.
Mid October, 2004
We have 5 songs in the works, 3 completely finished. We will be playing small venues when we find a singer that has the right vibe we are looking for.
Late 2004-Early 2005
Auditioned a few singers over the span of a couple months. Finally settled down with one, our man Cristian.
April 2005
Our first gig as a complete foursome is this Saturday (the 9th). We're playing a house party, Cristian's sister's house to be exact. It was her birthday a few days ago and she's having a retro 70's and 80's theme. Should be a lot of fun, we're gonna play wicked.
May 2005
We played at Cristian's sister's house and it was wicked. This last week was the first week we all had off from school and work (and might be the last) so we got alot done, 5 or 6 songs should be completely finished with lyrics by friday. (new versions of the songs will be put on the website when they are done. June 11 is our next upcoming show, mainly covers with a few originals.
June 11 2005
The gig at the strathcona community hall for Cindy's daughter (which by the way wasn't even there). We 3 hours of playing ahead of us. We played for about 2 before we decided to cut it short as we saw people losing interest. It was great experience and just happened to play for the wrong crowd. Also we realized how much more fullfilling and fun it is to play your own songs for people rather than covers.
July-Oct
Been writing extensively with the once a week jams we commence. Hopefully by the end of the October we'll have up to and around 12 songs completed. We say that all the time but we always come up short. Also looking forward to a possible Rememberance day gig. We'll probably be playing on the 12th a Saturday.
November, 2005
We just played a show at Andy's house for some family and friends, our best one yet. We also have our furst real show coming up on the 26th of November, at the Warehouse. It is a battle of the bands, and we will see what happens...
