11 fingers

The Eleven fingers line up is drawn from a number of Musicians who have a firm footing based in the Blues tradition. The other foot is well and truley tapping in a Rock beat. The Sixties and Seventies chisled out a number of Blues Rock classics which 11 Fingers perform and aims to both emulate and enhance those tunes. A recent line up change has seen a warmer edge injected into the sound Which gives it greater deapth. The Band is strung together by a common aim "to enjoy and make good music"! Which aint too bad, as philosophy's go.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The development of this band really came from the bedroom tapes period which reflects a time some 18 years ago when three mates thought that it would be "fun" to knock out some blues - rock music. This led to the audition and what seems to have been a long list of rotating muso's until our first independant CD cut in 2002. The band disbanded and re-formed as Loaded Dice in 2003/4 with 2005 seeing a new lin-up and return to the 11 Fingers direction. 2006 see's the band doing gigs around Melbourne city and outer suburb's. We are looking to open up into the festival market as we settle on particular musical set'pieces, will keep on doing what we do best - playing that Rock Blues music.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes - Outdoor events are favoured for some reason, I suppose it has just worked out that way.
Your musical influences
Stormy Monday through Black Magic woman, Goin down, through Get Back is ballanced by ZZ Top's Brown sugar or Cream,s Crossroads. The original music played reflects both a strong Delta blues influence and at the same moment can drill a Johnny winter riff into the side of your head. Recently pushing through a set that includes Black betty. voodoo chile, and a few more "in your face songs" that has great appeal.
What equipment do you use?
If it has Fender, Marshall, Gibson, Maton written on it we probably use it.
Anything else?
The music industry is a fickle whore who lays down with the winners. Meanwhile for the rest, it is a great place to enjoy the company of good people having a good time - try it sometime!
