My name is Scott Ricci. I am a singer/songwriter residing in Tucson, Arizona. I believe that Metal/Rock music coupled with religious dogma, be it rhetoric or of epiphany, is a personal preference when it comes to expressing my musical interests.
Why this name?
Basically because ZEALOT means fanatic, and fanatic is how I feel about Rock music.
Do you play live?
I have played live in other projects, but not currently.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Remains to be seen.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Absolutely...as long as I could retain full artistic integrity of my material without censorship.
Band History:
I have been in bands off and on since the '80s. The one was called BACKYARD GROUNDED, which was a Blues band. Then, a Thrash band called DEIVORE. Later, I fronted a Metal act named SEX AX. ZEALOT is my first solo effort.
Your influences?
All Rob Halford, the late Lane Staley and the late, great Jim Morrison.
Favorite spot?
Reality...once removed.
Equipment used:
Shure SM-58 and a Bic pen.
Anything else...?
I just want the people to know who listen to my compositions to understand that they are the strongest beliefs of one man.
