Yvonne Ramage’s singer/songwriter talent has been touted as funky-folk with a percussive acoustic guitar style comparable to the style of Ani Difranco. Her vocals ring of a luscious quality, which simply accentuate the already heartfelt lyrics, reaching out in a way that touches most all that have the fortune to hear.
“Her music is not like anything out there today”, states one of her fans, “She’s just inspiring.”Band/artist history
Yvonne grew up in the Pacific Northwest (Oregon). She attended Oregon State University, working towards a degree in Civil Engineering. After 3 years of college and 2 years of study-abroad (Germany), traveling throughout Europe and Northern Africa, she returned to the United States to finish a degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures.
Yvonne soon discovered herself in a more physically challenging role, as she took a teaching position with Colorado Outward Bound School. Mountaineering, rock climbing, river rafting, mountain biking became her focus, spending much of her time living in the out-of-doors.
In 1994, Yvonne was presented the opportunity to work as a network administrator on the isolated continent of Antarctica, where she had plenty of time to learn guitar, singing, as well as songwriting. After returning from Antarctica, Yvonne combined her newly found love of music, and her love of travel, touring the United States performing at local bars, coffee-shops and even on the streets. Now in Las Vegas, Yvonne is has finished recording her 3rd CD and plans to create a more local audience, performing for the many venues in Vegas.Have you performed in front of an audience? You betcha... it's my favorite. Most of my live performances are on stages in Vegas. But my favorite is to be with a more comfortable audience, like small bars & coffeeshops
