My name is Yung Drip, and I was born, in Long Beach California. I breathed, my first breath on April 28th 1990, and have been doing so, for 18 years. I was raise in a military home until I was 3, so I have been many places. Places such as, San Antonio Texas, Saint Louis Missouri, and different parts of California. My parents split up when I was 3, and my mother sent me and my sister to Kansas to live with my aunt and grandma. When I was 7, I started school at New Zion Christian Academy. From there I went to Jardine Middle School for 2 years, and Stucky High school for 1 year. After that I became a “Blue Ace”, at East High school, in Wichita Kansas. I have recently graduated, and I am now enjoying the college life. All my life, I have enjoyed music. I loved listening to it, and I could wait to start making it.
My music career began in the summer of 2004. Me and my friends were just joking around, rapping about some of the dumbest things, and reciting songs we would hear on the radio. Before that, my love of music was strong, but at that moment, my love for music grew hungry. It wasn’t enough to just listen to it. I had to make it too. So I started messing around on fruity loops 4. Just starting out, I had no knowledge on how to compose, or make a track, but over the years I have gradually learned how to do such a task. My stage name is Yung Drip, and a lot of people trip because of that. Many people question why Yung Drip is my chosen name, and I reply “life is one big storm, and every storm starts with one rain drop, or drip as you will“. And I set out to be the first, the original, or the trend setter in today’s industry.
I am a business man. My business is Ghetto Grind Entertainment LLC. My business is all about the innovation of music. I myself rap, produce, promote, scout. I work along side my sister, CEO of Swagg Designz, my homie/bro Big Kerious, and my home girl Dailie. Together we are working to make it to our satisfied level of success.
