Jungle Rain Jungle Rain

A whimsical song, with lyrics which would not be out of place in "Alice in Wonderland". The music phrasing is reminiscent of classic vocal jazz ala (I don't stand a) Ghost of a Chance, with interesting interplay amongst the instruments.

Xybor and the Cosmonauts come from the planet Kaelon in where you call the Andromeda galaxy. We are on an intergalactic tour (ta daaa!!) and came to Prazoloog (Earth) to check out the music scene here (two droobgongs way up!!). We are: Xybor -- zingstok (vocals); Gleek -- quaznip (guitar); Zoink -- blazergonk (bass); Fizzgig -- kapongdong (percussion); Pakadook -- deebledoip (keyboards and unearthly sounds)
Band/artist history
We have been playing together for five zlingdorks. I met Xybor in jabanuz (college); we were both art students studying blonks, blorks and the ensuing chaos. We began collaborating on music and playing in queffan dooglegorks. Zoink and Fizzgig began hanging out, and Pakadook joined when Fizzgig couldn't play the deebledoip anymore with his third foot (kept losing his balance). Since then we have been touring, writing music, and living the lives of poor glack & quark stars.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Of course we are alive. Did you know we were actually the band in the original Zataar Warzip movie, where Duke Babbledoker fought with ObtusWanaWowo (I was playing the feezeldong). We are currently on tour in Serginok Quadrant 6, but will be back on earth in December. Our manager (Baphod Beeblebronx) is booking our gigs. I'll let you know where we are playing.
Your musical influences
Flink Poyd, the Beat Lips, Dyles Mavis, Avid Owie, Medeski Martin Wood (this guy is wayyy out there), Chas Dingus.
What equipment do you use?
Blooks, bloorks, klingernerfs ... we use whatever works. I even used a Flender Helemaster on a lead once (if you can believe that). It sounded like two gaffledwonks in heat, but worked in the song (Watching the Watchers).
Anything else?
I just want to say listen to the music and enjoy it. We worked hard to make it and would be happy to know it puts you in your comfy place (say ahhh...). Oh, yeah, send us blandorks! We need to eat!!
