I'm a one-woman "band", I guess you would say. I usually don't write music unless there's a purpose behind it, and usually that purpose is to help tell a story. Just me and my keyboard and a few computer programs is all it takes.
Why this name?
Whirlwynd was the name of a character I created. When I started taking composition requests I was using this name as an alias and it stuck.
Do you play live?
Every chance I get, though it's not often. My favorite performance would have to have been at my school's Battle of the Bands my junior year. Lots of fun there.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
A lot, but I don't have any elaborative thoughts on that.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably.
Your influences?
Robert Miles, James Newton Howard. Film orchestrals mixed with electronic beats.
Favorite spot?
Aledo, IL - a great little town. Very pretty.
Equipment used:
My Casio keyboard and Windows Sound Recorder, mainly. Sometimes Fruityloops Pro Express 2 and Cowon Jet-Audio and Screenblast ACID 2.
Anything else...?
