Wayne Longtin Sr. is no beginner. With 40 plus years of full-time music experience he is at home before audiences of 20 or 5000. His release of 3 CD's of original material in the past year and a half is proof enough. 2007 is his return to the road and he will be busy all year. Do you play live?
This year I've been to St. Louis, Missouri area. Lynch, Nebraska; Billings and Great Falls, Montana; Nashville, TN. and Wahoo, Nebraska. The Nashville Songwriters Festival was amazing! What talent there is there and to accepted by that community is great. Wahoo, Nebraska and the Wahoo Country Music Fest was fun, fun, fun!!!! I still have 6 months of bookings ahead and I love them all.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is the reason older performers like me aren't retired and out fishing.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
NO!
Your influences?
My musical influences are in all fields of music. From Country to Blues to Jazz, etc. If it's good music I've been influenced.
Favorite spot?
St. Petersburg, Florida or Tulsa, Oklahoma.
