Hillcrest cds Vol #42, Track # 5 across Eurpore, UK, Australia, Poland.
Vannatta's music is best described as cross over Country, Rock, Bluegrass, Roots music. Put a Cowboy hat on Bob Dylan, mix in some Nitty Gritty, Ian Tyson Lyrics, add a little Ozarks and you got Vannatta, with rich vocals, salt of the earth lyrics and blue collar stories.

Members include:
Larry Vannatta: Lead vocals, guitars, harps, and mandolin.
Bandleader Larry Vannatta put together his group Vannatta, in 2002 and has never looked back.
Larry was born in and raised in (Southern Alberta, Cluny), lives in Milo, Ab, the past 10 years.
Larry has played on Main stages with such acts as Waylen Jennings, Jason McCoy, Travis Tritt, Michael Wright, Ian Tyson,
Prairie Oyster, Marty Stuart, to the Beach Boys to name a few.
Big Rocky Mountain Jamborees, Alberta BC Cattlemen’s Asst, Dawson City Yukon, toured the Netherlands (Schoonhoven, Apeldoorn).
Larry is no stranger to the country music scene with his first group called Straight Clean & Simple, who recorded 5 Cd albums, all original songs penned by Larry, with 15 singles, 10 top 40 hits, 3 top ten hits in Canada, and received back to back Juno Nominations for Country Group of the year in Canada.

Bud Maynard: Vocals and base guitars.
Bud was also born in raised in (Southern Alberta, Cluny), has lived in Longview, Ab, for 20 years. Bud started writing songs back in the 1980’s then managed the O H Ranch for 18 years. He started writing songs again and recorded a 12 Cd with the Bunch Grass Group in 2000. Larry helping produce this Cd and now Bud has been playing and co-writing songs with Vannatta ever since. Some of bud many attributes are, being one of the few really working cowboys, which assist his strong song writing skills, along with his vocals and base lines, he has really added another dimension to the sound of Vannatta.

Johnny Fraser: Vocals and Guitars.
Johnny was born and raised in (Southern Alberta, Empress), and has lived in Okotoks for 40 years.
Johnny has been playing music for over 35 years and started up his first group called, Sweet grass in 1974. He then joined the group Bob Cat Logic playing for local events in and around Calgary as well as the 1988 Olympics. Johnny joined up with Vannatta in 2003, performing in live events and studio recordings. Being a former professional hockey player, John has learn the aspects of team work, along with his strong harmonies, vocals, and lead guitars, John abilities have add to the sound of what Vannatta is today.

George Davidson: Drums and Vocals
George was born in (Saskatchewan, Inpawan). He moved to Calgary in 1966 and has lived there for 42 years.
George played with John Fraser in the groups called Sweet Grass and Bob Cat Logic for over 30 years.
He has a bachelor of arts and a bachelor of science degree from the university of Calgary in 1972.
In 2003, George joined up with Vannatta and has been performing live events, playing, drums, and percussion.
George is a great asset to Vannatta with his laid back attitude, his humour on the stage and his added percussions.

Blaine Evans: Mandolin, Spanish and Mexico Guitars
Blaine was born and raised in (Southern Alberta, Gleichen) and has lived in Okotoks since 1988.
Blaine has been playing music for the past 30year and spends his winters in Mexico, playing and learning the
Spanish guitars. He joined up with Vannatta in 2000 and was very instrumental in recording and co-writing.
Although Blaine is not a full time member of Vannatta some of his attributes are; his strong co-writing skills,
musical arrangement, theory, musical understanding, which are evident in the music that Vannatta performs today.
