UNISYN is a keyboard composer who delivers strong dance tracks which have been used commercially and on the dance floor. All music is created using real instruments as opposed to using music generating software.
Why this name?
When first asked to be aired on TV and radio, a name was quickly needed for the credits, Hence, "UNISYN" was created:
UNI: Meaning "One"
SYN: Representing the first three letters of "Synthesizer"
Do you play live?
UNISYN is planning on performing live after the next album is created on newly purchased equipment.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gives more people the opportunity to experiment with various music genres which tends to open the minds of both artists and listeners.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I'm searching...
Band History:
Chris Murray (UNISYN) Started playing percussion in 1983 at the age of 12. Mostly playing snare drum through the 9th grade, as well as becoming part of the drum and bugle corps during military training (1990). Back in 1986 at the age of 15, experimenting with keyboards and catching the dance music bug was inevitable. More experience was gained and Chris performed in talent shows, on college radio and television, used for a tv commercial, and was reviewed in Texas Edge Music Magazine in 1996.
Your influences?
Paul Oakenfold, Christopher Lawrence, New Order as well as general 80's music.
Favorite spot?
Denver, CO (for Mountain Biking and partying)
Seoul, South Korea (for exotic foods)
Equipment used:

Yamaha W7 ("From The Inside" CD)
ER-1 Drum Synth ("From The Inside" CD)
Yamaha Motif XS8
Korg MS2000
Anything else...?
My next project will most likely enter the Jazz/New Age/Lounge genre but will also maintain some dance roots.
