I play keyboards, compose and produce for the prog band Glass Hammer. Also, I produce and engineer for our studio, Sound Resources along with GH member Steve Babb. This is a spot where I'll put some personal works in progress, as well as some product demos and other work related stuff.
Why this name?
Trurl is the name of a character in Stanislaw Lem's book The Cyberiad. I plan to use it for my solo album, currently in progress. I chose it because it's my favorite book and I don't imagine it's taken by anyone else.
Do you play live?
Glass Hammer will tour early next year. I have no plans to do anything solo though.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It is directly responsible for us having a career as an independent prog band!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We have had offers but nothing as attractive as what we have achieved on our own. We would take one if the offer was right but at this point it seems counterproductive.
Your influences?
Keyboard based prog- lots of vintage organ, synth and Mellotron, funny time signatures and all that is pretentious. Although I'll probably be posting a lot of commercial stuff as well.
Favorite spot?
Somewhere I haven't been yet.

Media Lyrical Distortion, Spectrasonics Stylus RMX, Pearl Forum series drums, Epiphone SG Custom electric guitar, Takamine acoustic, Digitech effects, Sony Sound Forge and Vegas audio editors, Cakewalk Sonar 4 sequencer, lots of others libs and plugins.
All tracked to a Roland VS-2480. Roland and KRK studio monitors.
