Trebuk (pronounced tray-BYOOK) is a three-piece band out of Maine. We are into alt. and classic rock, and have a soft spot for 80s classics. We like to tear them down and re-play them the Trebuk way. Our sound has been compared to Nirvana due to the vocal qualities of our singer and the somber lyrics of our original pieces. However, when playing live we like to mix in a lot of older, upbeat material to keep the people up.Band/artist history
We all met in the early 1990s, and played together for a while back then, playing at several small venues as a five-piece, with Bernie and J on guitars, Matt on drums and two more members on bass and lead vocals. J moved to Orono and other members drifted in and out of the band, which continued to sputter along under various names. In early 2004 J, Bernie and Matt got back together and decided to put forth a serious effort in creating original music. The band focused on creating a CD which would show the creativity of the band and also make others take notice of the newcomers.Have you performed in front of an audience? We are looking to play some local shows this summer, and have started talking with Razor Ray Promotions in order to arrange this.
