Why this name?
Well we had a few names down before our first practice, and after practice Toxic Ruin just seemed to fit.
Do you play live?
Yeah, we play live. We'll play anywhere we can and of course we LOVE IT!!!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
With mp3's and the internet it's much easier to get your music out there. A band from California can have fans up in Alaska from mp3's online.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It all depends if we have full control of what we put out.
Band History:
Toxic Ruin started November 2005. The band is Adam on lead guitar and vocals, David on the drums, and Gilbert on rhythm guitar and back-up vocals. It all started as just an idea floating around Adam's mind for a while. After his grave-rock band, A Dead Time Story, broke up over the summer he joined the band S.I. Aggression as another guitarist. He still wanted to do his own thing so thats where Toxic Ruin comes in. Adam knew Gilbert and David from school and they knew he wanted to start a band. So when the time came to put it all together he asked David and Gilbert if they were up for it, and that was the birth of Toxic Ruin. So far we have completed one demo/ep, "Heavy Doses EP" and are hoping to have a full length done later this year.
