The Monterey Fire
The Monterey Fire embodies a variety of influences ranging from rock, pop, electronica, blues, funk, and more, blended into a unique brand of intense, soulful, personal, honest music that is not always found in the mainstream.
Why this name?
The name was inspired by Jimi Hendrix lighting his guitar on fire at the Monterey Pop Festival. The moment signified that there are no rules when it comes to musical expression and creativity.
Do you play live?
Not yet, but stay tuned.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It can eliminate the middle man. You can take your music directly to the listener in an instant and get feedback just as fast. It's a wonderful tool.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Since I am unsigned at the moment, I would certainly be open to it.
Band History:
The Monterey Fire was created by Terrance White in late 2005 as a vehicle for the musical ideas that have always been floating in his head. Since then, a loyal fanbase has developed as listeners worldwide have connected with the unique sounds and personal lyrics that make up the Monterey Fire sound.
