The DGB is a unique blend of driving alternative rock and pop melodies. With a brand new album on the way, the band has released a new single entitled "One Less Stranger" which you can download now. Merchandise is available at shops all over the Lindsay/Peterborough/Oshawa, Ontario area, and online at www.theDGB.tk.
Why this name?
A lot of thought went into this one. I'm not sure we could do proper justice to our reasoning in just a few lines.
Do you play live?
We like to play live, start off heavy, slow it down for a bit, then f*** sh*** up hardcore and smash our instruments.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course...who wouldn't? I mean, you have to be really carefrul what you sign, 'cause most of them our out there to screw you, but given the right oppurtunity I would.
Band History:
It's a very, very, long history. We plan on writing a book about it soon, so until then you will just have to wait.
Your influences?
We are heavily influenced by Nirvana, The Smashing Pumpkins, the Doors, Matthew Good, Sonic Youth, Pearl Jam, the White Stripes, and Led Zeppelin. Our sound is very distinct, however these bands have influenced our music in some way.
Favorite spot?
The island.
Equipment used:
The answer to this would be very boring for most people. To keep it simple, Fenders, Gibsons, and Ibanez's, through Marshalls. The other guys use whatever they can find.
