"tempo" came from my love for music, music in its essence. I love and listen to everything, no matter what language it's in or what genre it belongs to. As long as it's got a beat, I'll listen to it.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

I think it makes it better. More people can discover music, and you can hear music from all over the world this way. It broadens our musical horizons :)
I discovered a lot of my favourite artists through mp3s. And if I like what I hear, then I go out and buy the album, supporting the artist.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Probably not a major label, but an independent label. I'd have more freedom over my music.

Your influences?

My musical influences arise from everything: alternative, punk, pop, R&B, country, dance, Euro, rock, soul, jazz, folk--everything.
Specific artists/bands that have influenced me are Michelle Branch, Gackt, Mariah Carey, Green Day, Tina Turner, Hikaru Utada, Tracy Chapman, and Hoobastank.

Favorite spot?

Toronto. I LOVE Toronto. I live here, and I love it. :)

Equipment used:

I've set up a makeshift home recording studio in my basement, which consists of a laptop, a USB dynamic microphone, and headphones. That's it lol
