Acoustic Folk

Band/artist history
I have played at The Corner Tavern, New Brunswick, NJ., Princeton University, Princeton, N. J., Borders Books in Princeton, N. J., The Urban Word, Trenton, N. J., Grounds for Sculpture, Hamilton, N. J., John & Peters in New Hope, PA., Failte's Coffee House in Hopewell, N. J., The Alchemist & Barrister in Princeton, It's A Grind in Plainsboro, and a number of Private Parties. With other musicians or solo I always manage to have a GOOD TIME.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes, I have been playing with Ted Spino, Rich Huarte, & Neal Edelberg for about a year now. We have been playing at ‘It’s A Grind Coffee House’ in Plainsboro, N.J. You will also find us at ‘The Alchemist & Barrister’ in Princeton, N.J. ‘The A&B’ for short, also has resumed their ‘Open Mic’ nights on Wednesday’s. I will surely be making an appearance solo there as well. Open Mics are wonderful for musicians to make connections with other musicians, as well as a GIFT for listeners. I met our keyboard player at the ‘Open Mic’ at ‘The A & B’. There usually is a tremendous spirit of kinship, rather than competition. I like that VIBE. Everybody gets to do the same amount of songs and is aspiring to something better than this. Keeps you HUMBLE while you polish your chops.
Your musical influences
My musical influences are from artists like Tracy Chapman, Jewel, Natalie Merchant, Cheryl Crowe, Janis Joplin, Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Nicks & many others.
What equipment do you use?
I play an acoustic/electric Ibanez and I love it. I also have a Yamaha & an Ovation.
Anything else?
Seems that we have found ourselves in this rut that we are trying so hard to break out of. I believe that the lyrical content within songs has been of alot of pain and suffering. We use songwriting as a tool for releasing this pain. But, we also set ourselves up to create more pain and suffering, by our attention to it. My sincere hope is that we all as songwriters, film makers, & television show writers begin to focus on what could bring great JOY, to counter balance all of this focus on what we do NOT want in our lives. Think about it. What is it that we really want to create? What is it that will bring us JOY? What does it look like? Maybe we could create it if we could see it. Maybe dreaming about it would help us create it. Maybe singing about it, we could call it forth.
