"Positive waves of energy"
She found a love for singing in church at the early age of five and began her vocal training at the age of seven. At fifteen she decided that it was a time to place her thoughts on paper and began writing poetry. She later decided that her words would best be framed in melody. She formed and performed with several groups during her high school years, displaying her classical training and technique. During this time her talent was also showcased with a Chicago based Gospel Choir. She continued her education carrying her love for music while honing her craft throughout her college years. She has performed on several stages throughout the Chicagoland area with her backing band KonstantGroove including The WGN Morning Show ch.9, Green Dolphin Street, Dusable Museum and the main stage of Taste Of Chicago. They have been considered a wonderful ambiance for dinner guest and a great motivation for dance crowds at The Negro League Cafe, Blue 47, The Sheraton Hotel, Crystal Lakes Porter's Oyster Bar and Nicks Fish Market of Rosemont IL.. When they are together, it's plain to see that they are family..
Her writing and vocal style has been notably described as "UNIVERSOULY AFROLACENTRIC". Her voice has been compared to a wide range of artist stemming from Minnie Ripperton to Cassandra Wilson. She has also been known to visit the vocal style of Phillip Bailey during her live performances with an effortless sincerity that displays every ounce of passion that she holds for the sound of music.
