Jesus Never Said

I wrote this one 30 years ago, but was never completely satisfied with it, even though it was popular with my audiences. I recently changed a few things and re-recorded it for my next CD: 'Real' - now I'm content.
Hi! Hey I'm a one girl band these days so I'm just using my actual legal name: Susan Cantey I sell CD's at Everybody's Records in Cincinnati Ohio and at www.CDbaby.com. My CD's make nice gifts for old and young. My music is also avaiable at itunes, rhapsody, napster and many other sites.
Band/artist history
You can read about me and listen to me at www.CDBaby.com, itunes or check out some older tunes at: http://www.familyworship.org.uk/showcase/susancantey/
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I play live at my church, at retirement centers in Cincinnati, occasionally at the Night Sky in Troy Ohio and anywhere else that will have me as long as there are no loose rocks lying aboot. For fun, I sometimes enter local "Idol" competitions.
Your musical influences
I'm still in love with the voices of Carol King, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins and Karen Carpenter...think of me as the knock off copy of them available at Target for $5.99. I also adore the Beatles and Motown as well as classical piano music, especially Chopin, Beethoven, Bach, Motzart and all the Russians. I like beautiful melodies, but I also love a great groove.
What equipment do you use?
My "equipment" includes my vocal chords, my brain, my keyboard, some loops and my computer software...that's about it!
Anything else?
I make my living as a Calculus teacher...but music is my passion.
