Since writing his first song at the age of nine, White has fine tuned his craft as a songwriter, guitarist, singer, and polished performer. For three years, White performed as lead guitarist, and vocalist in the Gus Hardin Band. Receiving many an ovation for Gus and Steve's soulful duets. He then fronted the band Otis, a funk, rhythm and blues outfit, full of veteran musicians. As of late he has been recording and performing with his legendary father, Don White, as well as shows with his own band. Steve has opened for Leon Russel, Delbert McClinton, Buddy Guy, and others, as well as being a regular in many area festivals and venues. (SEE CALENDAR) He has also been making the rounds in area clubs, playing with the likes of The Bill Davis Band, Flash Terry and the Uptown Blues Band, The Brad Absher Band, Scott Ellison, The Oscillators, Polly Ess, Full Circle, Freak Show, and many others.
Enter the band SuperGroove! White's latest project puts him back where he belongs. Playing rhythm, blues, soul, rock, and groove music. He is able to flex his musical muscles both with his soulful voice, and tasty guitar playing. SuperGroove tears through both original and cover tunes with a fiery intensity.
