Welcome, my friends, to my little corner of Soundclick.

I'm a working journalist in Santa Fe, N.M., covering state government and politics for The Santa Fe New Mexican.

But in this mild-mannered reporter's past is a crazy musical spirit. I've released two albums, PICNIC TIME FOR POTATOHEADS and PANDEMONIUM JUKEBOX, now available on one CD.

I'm still somewhat active in music. I write a weekly CD review column in the New Mexican and host two radio shows on KSFR, Santa Fe Public Radio.
Why this name?
I named myself "Steve Terrell" after a 1950s movie actor, who starred in Invasion of the Saucer Men and Dragstrip Girl.
Do you play live?
I live in Santa Fe, N.M. Sometimes I still do gigs with musicians like Gregg Turner and Kell Robertson. I sometimes play in a middle-age garage band called THE CHARRED REMAINS.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes it possible for bands like The Winking Tikis to rise. Check them out:

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Only if Jon Langford agrees to do a painting of the signing.
Your influences?
The Electric Prunes, Buck Owens
Favorite spot?
The Kentucky Club, Juarez
Wall Drug, Wall S.D.
(The old) Lincoln County Courthouse, Lincoln, N.M.
Anything else...?
I'm the Mac Davis of Santa Fe. I believe in music. And I believe in love.
