Silenus is the rock alternative to the radio friendly, emo pop "music” that seems all too popular today. With influences ranging from Rage Against The Machine to Tool to Red Hot Chili Peppers and everything in between, this is a band that gives you what you pay for. Silenus comes bearing an explosive, high-energy stage show and well constructed original songs mixed with influential cover tunes. Silenus will leave you feeling that in your face, no bullsh*t, original ROCK is still alive and well!
Why this name?
The name Silenus(sI-len-us) comes from Greek Mythology. To put it bluntly, he was a drunk musician, and his name sounded cool.
Do you play live?
We have played around the Williamsport area for about a year now. We have played The Cell Block, Kings Inn, and 4th of July in Downtown Williamsport. We are a regular band at The Ground Floor (Now YMCA Arena)and we have played various college parties and battle of the bands.
The only bad thing about the area is everyone wants to here cover bands. Although we do play covers, we will always play our music first.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes it easier for bands to get their information and music out to the masses
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the deal was good.
