A native of Pittsburgh, PA. Shauna Mishel has always had a love for music, as a very small child her parents had to put a radio in her room so that she would sleep at night. By age 11 Shauna became popular around her peers in the hip-hop community for her rhyming ability and the fact that she could free-style and that she made rap songs and could really sing her hooks. Her culturally diverse up bringing gave her an eclectic edge even landed her a spot as one of the pioneers of the dancehall scene in Pittsburgh. Dubbed Shauna Ranks "The Golden Voice", she appeared on the same stages as "Beenie Man" and many others. It is her versatility that makes it easy for a wide range of producers to work with her. "For the most part I already have a story to tell I just need the musical landscape with emotion behind it to bring it to fruition. The debut cd " To Be or Not To Be" is a collection of experiences that provoked thought or emotion. I want to reach people with this cd because I believe that happiness, joy, pain, love, purpose etc, are universal and someone somewhere is, was, or will be feeling what I've felt and they will relate", says Shauna.
