We all are called to be believers in Christ. Not one, two or three days a week but all seven, every week, every month and every year! Our called mission is to provide an atmosphere of praise and worship to God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit by using the musical talents with which we've been blessed. We feel led to glorify God and spiritually feed people, regardless of their life circumstances, through our ministry of music. A ministry of music and a blessing to others are what we are seeking to provide to all people, believers and non-believers.
Why this name?
The band name came from the need for something that some people could relate to but that others would question.
Do you play live?
Yes. Coffee houses, churches, small venues, youth events, private parties.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Its a tremendous tool that can help unsigned bands to gain exposure and create opportunities that otherwise would or could not come around. Before an artist or band was at the mercy of the "industry". Now you have some control as to who can hear your music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably so. There would be some serious prayer involved!!
Band History:
Formed during the summer of 2003. Sevendaybeliever includes Amy (vocals), Rob(bass), Rusty(drums), Buster(acoustic guitar) and Don(lead guitar). Coming from similar backgrounds these five people were brought together to form what has become a true ministry of music. They believe that the word spoken in song and accompanied by music is a powerful tool, granted by God for spreading the gospel of Christ. Their beliefs are based in the Bible, the Apostle's Creed, and Christian tradition. Their music has influences from many styles; traditional to modern, rock to acoustic, and blues to bluegrass. These symbolize the many persons that Christ came to save and whom we strive to serve. It is centered on a particular vocal styling, and it is intended to glorify God.
Your influences?
Our sound is a cross between memphis groove rock with a motown.
