The mountains, the sea, the forests and wild-life of the Aquitaine and of Scotland are akin : Scotch Mist translates this affinity into music blending in a miscellany of musical talents and integrating it with traditions from horizons oceans apart.
Why this name?
Scotch Mist
"A coarse, dense mist, like fine rain."
Sir W. Scott.
This weather condition is another thing that Scotland and the Aquitaine have in common.
It gits right in aboot.

Band History:
Scotch Mist began life in 1990 as a trio based in Bordeaux. The early days saw the band diffuse its repertoire of Scottish and Irish music all over the South-West of France.
Time passing has seen the group playing in a host of venues that range from the extremely modest to the fairly prestigious, including several festivals both in France and abroad. Over the years various musicians of diverse horizons have come in to lend their talents.
Up till now we have self-produced a live cassette and two mini CD’s, and been released, alongside The Tannahill Weavers, on a compilation C.D. in Italy. We've also taken in short tours of Scotland, Ireland and Portugal.
A new complete album is on it's way.
