Welcome to R-Tistic's page. I am a 21 year-old producer from Los Angeles, and I have been producing for nearly ten years. I have produced tracks for artists such as The Game, Kam, Black Friday (Black Wall Street), Murs, Glasses Malone (Black Wall Street), The Pentagon, and some others. I will occasionally post up tracks I have completed on this site, but I am savin most of my beats and songs for an album I am workin on right now, called R-Ticulation, which will feature all of the main artists I have worked with.
Band/artist history
I started rappin when I was in the 9 years old, 4th grade, in 1994. In 96, at 11, I began makin beats to rap to. After about 3 or 4 years, my beats became a lot better than my rap skill, so in the last two years, I haven't really rapped that much, just mainly produced.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I work with rappers and groups that perform live, but I do my job in the studio.
Your musical influences
My favorite producers are DJ Quik, Battlecat, Fred Wreck, Dre, and Timbaland, including a few others. As far as old school, I don't think anybody can mess with George Clinton and Parliament, or Roger and Zapp. Also, Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock for Jazz, and many classical artists have influenced my style to a degree.
What equipment do you use?
I use a Motif ES Rack, Roland JX-305 synthesizer, Roland JV-35 synthesizer, Cubase VST, and a VS-1680 track recorder.
