Getting more active...

Been going through some life changes and they took my time, energy, and emotions. With that I did some woodshedding a bit. Playing my guitar, bass, drums, singing, and thinking about music and other stuff and what I want to do going forward life and music wise. So now I'm going back over my Soundclick friends stuff and getting around to listening and reviewing, and also creating some new stuff of my own. I’m pretty excited about dubstep, but I still am really into using drum-n-bass as a bott...

Finally release something I've been working on for a while. Words, music, simple chord sequence...but I think it works. Dnb tune but with a retro vibe to it. Seem to be mashin it up a bit. Tune is another story song. The main character...is a spy having his doubts.

New song (part of the gangster trilogy--or whatever) is coming together. It's the first song in the series. I wrote it over 20 years ago, and performed it with a band back in the day. Now it's kind of taking on a new modern feel, but with a bit of motown in it. Hope it comes out good.

Re-Uploaded a new Into the Night (noticed some distortion crept in in the master...yikes). Also uploaded a new drum-n-bass tune The Light and The Dark. It has harder and softer parts which play off each other...hence the name. Hope you enjoy em.

Finally added one of the songs I was working on. It don't add up. Apart from the terrible grammar, it's part of a trilogy thing I've been working on (hmm...reminds me of a line from This is Spinal Tap...the trilogy name was...). Not entirely satisfied with the vocals, which I may re-do at a later point...but kind of a first working copy. Mix down was ok, but because of the diverse elements in the song, it pushed the envelope of what the mp3 bit rate could handle a bit I think. Despite all t...

Work was spilling over into play time a bit so I wasn't getting out there to listen to my buds tunes and work on my own. Trying to change that, and of course I've got a bunch of things that are in process and don't know which will gel first. So...I've been working on this tune forever. It's got everything I believe it needs, but I was thinking some spoken word stuff, but I haven't found quite the right sample. May have to just master the thing and release it...sort of un-done, but done. Then suddenly a flash of inspiration and two tunes get combined into one, completely different tune mind you, and, well, I just need to find the damn lyrics, which I misplaced somewhere...and record the vocals...Part of an overall bigger conceptua...

Been working on some new tunes. They are just starting to gel, so I should be releasing them soon. Just need to do the mastering etc. But, I always wonder...do they need one more thing. They are always imperfect (but organic) when I finally just let them go... It is a strange process.

I've been working on some new tunes. Nothing has quite jelled except for a couple weird things. One thing is a drum-n-bass thing with massive blues rock guitar and some vocals..but is so out of genra I'm trying to see if it will fit. What the heck, I'll probably release it just to get it off the drawing board..and so I can move onto something else.

Working on a couple new tunes. I have a spoken word hip hop thing I'm debating releasing, a drum n bass thing with vocals (full production I think), and a sample based drum n bass thing that looks like it will be finished first. Also, a hip-hop beat I came up with (I hope to combine it with an a cappella over at ccmixter) but it's also in progress. Did I mention the old school house thing or the acid house thing...yikes...I'm jumping around quite a bit. Hope to release a bunch soon. Also....

Added a little video of a local Bonaire Windsurfer Kenneth on my band page (I shot it a year ago on our previous visit). Check it out. It has a little snippet of a tune that I haven't posted called Major Cheat. The tune is made completely from pre-existing Rex file samples.

Just updated Jah Groove with a new remix. More dubby at the beginning. Also, check out this video over at YouTube(vancouverdriver used my ccmixter got to rock/streetball remix for a soundtrack).
