Originally formed in 2005 as a cover band, Re-Animated® is a female fronted 3-piece rock band hailing from SE Minnesota. Nate's intense musical style along with Deb's poignant lyrics create a unique and unforgettable experience for anyone fortunate enough to happen upon their music. "Of course there are times when I write music and Nate writes lyrics," says Deb, "but most of the music on The Dream Cycle EP is his and the lyrics mine. That won't always be the case, but for that particular album it just seemed to work out that way and we were content to let whatever happened, happen."

With musical influences extending from Beethoven to Metallica, Re-Animated® has a range and depth to their music not often heard in today's cookie cutter rock bands. "I've spent too much time in bands trying to be the next Korn or Metallica or whatever is currently popular," states Nate "but with Re-Animated® I don't feel pressure to write or play a certain way. This is the first time I've ever felt like I could just be myself as a musician." Although some of Nate's music will just pop into his head while he's in the library, the majority of it is based on his feelings. "Most of the time it's a result of me just picking up my bass whenever I feel a really strong emotion and playing whatever happens to come out."

Regardless of what their influences are or how they come up with their music, with the release of The Dream Cycle EP earlier this year and the expected release of their first full-length CD this upcoming winter, Re-Animated® is definitely a band on the rise!
Do you play live?
Sometimes, yes. We don't have a permanent drummer at the moment so we mostly do a few acoustic shows in the Minnesota area and the occasional benefit. We are currently writing new music and planning for our full-length CD, then hoping to start touring next winter after the holidays.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's a fabulous way for relatively unknowns like us to be able to get our music heard by people all over the world.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It'd be awfully hard to say NO now wouldn't it ?!
Your influences?
3 Doors Down, Alice in Chains, Audioslave, Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, Disturbed, Evanescence, Foo Fighters, Godsmack, Green Day, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Nickelback, Pearl Jam, Rush, Shinedown, Staind, White Zombie
