A complete solo project titled, "Psychosis Formatted." An electronic blend of influences from melodic synth-pop, cut-throat vocals of metal, distorted beats that shift and the occasional droning guitar-work that bites with a crunch.

The tracks have a broad range of being completely symphonic to industrial complexity of melodies with the accompaniment of synthetic beats. Psychosis Formatted tries to mesh together several genres (from ambience, classical, down-tempo, industrial, metal, to trip-hop) to come up with innovative songs.
Why this name?
A few have asked me what exactly Psychosis Formatted means. Psychosis: a mental disorder with derangement of personality and loss of reality that causes deterioration of normal social functioning. Formatted: past tense of format. To initialize the storage of media. Also to permanently erase or overwrite data.

I'm more of an introvert. I tend to keep to myself and observe others. Which builds up some emotions and thoughts. I usual view my own thoughts and about the society we have created for ourselves. Humanity has the capacity and mentality to create a utopia but will always create a demise for itself through natural responses because of jealousy, greed and differences.

There are some things that I try to emotionally hide from the rest of the world. Without an outlet strong emotions and thoughts can destroy a person's rationality. Music is my outlet for my inner conscious which formats my soul. Hence the project name, Psychosis Formatted.
Do you play live?
Psychosis Formatted has not broke that plane just yet. I don't think it will happen soon but I hope to accomplish this in the future. I don't think it's interesting to see just one man and his sweet machines make love for the night.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
There is always two sides to every coin.

For the corporate, is very obvious on the lost of revenue for them through piracy. If we let them, mp3's will become obsolete and a new more restrictive digital media will replace it.

On the unsigned musicians side, the internet and mp3 are a god-send. A channel for exposure. There are so many bands out there who would only be local rock-stars if it weren't for the internet.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I wouldn't mind making a deal with a label, but it would have to be under certain conditions.
Band History:
At the start, Psychosis Formatted was an unnamed project to help me attain my dream career as a producer. I was in the Marine Corps at the time and everyone I knew who created music was at an ocean's distance from me. I started out with the Boss SP-505 sampler (My very first electronic gear aside from the guitar). I loved manipulating my voice with that machine. (Making crank calls was so much fun!) A friend of mine had turn me over to the software side. If I had the money, I would've stayed as a hardware freak.

So with the introduction of software, I started making music and read so many books/magazine articles about music production. I've learn so much since then and I am still learning everyday. The technology is going at a rapid pace so everyday you have to learn something new, even if it's a lingo at that.

I started making music without a handle. Then for a brief time, I went by DJ sKuMm. I only DJ'd once at a bar in Japan; but that's insufficient for me to go by as a DJ. After searching on the internet, just about everyone and their kid brother went by that name as well. I'm not a DJ, so I needed a persona change for my music. Psychosis Formatted entered the domain for the name change game and has been fortified since.

What started as a creativity outlet to enchance skills in the recording arts is now a project on it's own for others to enjoy. So far I'm receiving positive responses and requests for collaborations. I will continuing making more music as Psychosis Formatted.
